What is supported exempt accommodation?

According to the House of Commons Library, supported exempt accommodation refers “to housing provided to vulnerable individuals, often funded by housing benefits, that is exempt from certain regulations. It aims to support those in need, but can sometimes lead to exploitation if not properly regulated.”
